100 Acre Management Plan

The 100 Acres Reserve

This is classified in Manningham’s Council Public Open Space Strategy (2004) as a Conservation Reserve of Regional Significance. It has been identified as being of State Significance in the Manningham Biosites Sites of (Biological) Significance Review. It is also listed on the Register of the National Estate and contains vegetation that is rarely rivaled in the Melbourne Region; even in National Parks. The 100 Acres Reserve Management Plan is available on the PORA website.

In the last few months, teenagers have been building and excavating BMX ramps and damaging the local flora and fauna. Several complaints from residents have been lodged and the council has restored the excavation. However, in a week or two, all has been either been re-established in a different place or the old site.
